Things start to get a little hazy when you try and write about things you went to three months ago - especially when you probably had a few beers that night! One of the reasons I started taking pictures at the many gigs I go to was as an aid to my alcohol addled memory - which is never good at the best of times. The pictures from this evening are also a bit hazy as they were taken on my phone, so I guess the weather was warm and I left my jacket and camera at home to travel light. This night towards the end of August I (apparently) went to a couple of gigs - both in the Kings Cross area. I started off at the Water Rats (I think) where I saw the Dogbones. This is Nomi and Crispin (bass & guitar) from Queen Adreena in their other band.

They are an interesting and totally unique outfit with two drummers and frontpersons who swap roles during the set. I seem to remember Nomi reading a book about dinosaurs during their set as well, although unfortunately I didn't get a picture of this.

I'm surprised I don't remember much of the evening as apparently Crispin's head exploded - which you'd think would be a memorable event?

It would appear that later that night I found myself at the Cross Kings, although I don't remember quite why or who this band were. Oh dear.

I either need to drink less, or try writing my blogs less than three months after the event. Or maybe both...
