It's another night where I manage to fit two gigs in - and they are both good 'uns! First
I'm off to Kentish Town to see Men & Gods at the Bull & Gate.

Marc Eden (surely the sharpish dressed man in rock) is ever the ringmaster and directs
the show with a relaxed and natural air.

I didn't want to miss this gig as it will be their last one in the UK for a while - next
month they are off to the USA to record their first album.

It's an excellent show as usual from this lot. They never seem to have a setlist but
always turn in a polished and highly professional performance. Everything just seems
to fall into place. Such is their standard of musicianship that even if they haven't played
a gig for ages it all seems to flow so smoothly that you'd think they were halfway
through a major tour.

I don't have time to hang about for long afterwards as I'm off to the West End next to
catch Warrior Soul at the Intrepid Fox. The band are playing an acoustic show in the
intimate upstairs bar at this well known rocker's watering hole.

I'm not too sure how well a Warrior Soul show is going to work in the confines of an
intimate acoustic environment. I needn't have worried - the larger than life character of
Kory Clarke easily pulls it off by the sheer force of his personality!

Kory is in fine form tonight, and fuelled by Jack Daniels his full blown roar of a voice
blasts through a surprisingly long set punctuated with banter and wisecracks - this
really is a thoroughly entertaining set and Kory looks to be really enjoying himself.

Once again, the Intrepid Fox manages to pull off one of the 'best kept secret' gigs in
town!
PS: Both these venues have now closed, although the Intrepid Fox has reopened in Archway.
