15/10/2009 The Dogbones @ The Gaff

Dogbones gigs seemed to be pretty scarce until recently, but now this Queen Adreena offshoot seem to be popping up all over the place!

Now they have turned up at The Gaff - a more suitable venue for their dirty grunge and punk influenced sound than some they have been playing. Their double drummer attack and art-punk attitude has attracted a few people to the gig tonight, and they seem to usually get a few Queen Adreena fans along as well. Nomi is fairly wasted, but that's nothing new.

More amusingly, Nomi isn't the only person who's wasted in The Gaff - some random city boys have unwittingly wandered into the place looking for some action after a day at work.

I think they got more than they bargained for! Crispin cuts them down with the sharpest cheekbones in rock. Still they, seemed to enjoy themselves and a bit more money was taken on the door and at the bar even if they had no idea who they were watching - and no doubt they had fun telling everybody at work about the dive full of weirdos they wandered into. Still, wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same?
PS: This really cool little venue is now closed.
