It's that dead week between Christmas Day and New Year and there isn't much going on.  Once the usual Christmas family obligations have been dealt with there's no work for over a week - it's the ideal time for gigs and partying.  Only there's nothing much happening.  Apart from tonight at the 12 Bar Club that is.

Love and a .45 are playing a late set so I don't rush to get down there. Unfortunately I arrive when Dirty Love have nearly finished their set - I'd forgotten they were playing, otherwise I'd have got down there earlier.

As usual, things are running late - meaning Love and a .45 don't take to the stage until well after the time they are due on.

This pop/punk outfit from Tottenham continue to improve each time I see them. Their set is very lively, and nearly includes a cover of the Thunders/Ramones classic 'Chinese Rocks' - only they change their mind just as they start playing it! Oh well, I saw L.A.M.F. UK play the song at this same venue only a few days ago anyway.

Singer Kate Moritz is looking very glamorous in a black sparkley dress and fur coat - a marked change from her usual more punky attire.

Kate said a few minutes before the band started their set that she was freezing cold - in spite of wearing a fut coat! All her jumping about onstage obviously still fails to warm her up much as the coat stays on. Just.

It being a Sunday the tube stops running early, so unfortunately I have to leave before the end of the band's set.
