	This was always going to be a fun night!  It's the CD Release Party for the 3rd Pure Rawk sampler album, and five of the twenty bands featured on the album are playing tonight. Only £6 on the door - bargain! Pure Rawk promotions are always top value for money, and the 20 track CD is only £3.50 - you can't go wrong really. Reasonable drinks prices at the Purple Turtle too!  Unfortunately I can't get to the Purple Turtle in time to see the first band on this Tuesday night - that's a shame as it's the tuneful south London punkers Dead Identities. Next up are Silverjet They are OK, but don't make much of an impression on me to be honest - just go and check their MySpace profile if you want to know more. Zen Motel are excellent as usual. This band have a load of cracking songs and never fail to deliver the goods! Alex takes over lead vocals for a song about drinking - how appropriate!  With songs about booze, sex, drugs, violence, and porn all the most decadant bases are covered.  And they have tunes you can sing along to as well! And all without falling into the usual 'sleaze' cliche image and sound that so many bands dumb their act down to. This band prove that you don't have to be dumb to have fun!  I've got loads of pictures from this night, so I've split it into two parts so you don't have to wait so long for all the pictures to load up - if your broadband is as crap as mine (thanks Tiscali) or you still have dialup (does anyone still?) then that should help.
